Draupnir: A Tool for Managing Concourse in the Enterprise
The Home Depot, Google, and Pivotal banded together to solve a problem faced by every large enterprise who uses Concourse at scale: installation proliferation. Without an easy and automated way to get access to Concourse, developers inevitably spin up their own installations that become de facto production, and an organization can be faced with hundreds of installs. Are they patched? Are they backed up? Do they even exist if you don't know where they are? Draupnir is a tool built by a collaboration of engineers that standardizes the provisioning and operation of Concourse across a large organization. It allows developers to request their own installation, gives them tools to manage it, and allows a centralized view of the state of the world across an organization.
